What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

Solution focused hypnotherapy is a little different to traditional hypnotherapy in that it is a combination of psychotherapy and hypnosis. The main difference is that solution focused hypnotherapy is designed to reduce anxiety and support you through the challenges you might be facing in life. I use a powerful combination of psychotherapy and hypnosis to help clients make changes in a relatively short period of time.  The psychotherapy in itself is extremely beneficial and its effects are enhanced by the application of hypnosis, which enables the subconscious mind to make beneficial changes.  Psychotherapy involves talking together to help clients overcome their difficulties.  It is often referred to as a 'talking treatment.'

It’s about looking forward and focusing on the present and the future in a positive way, rewiring your brain to create new healthy patterns of behaviour. This breaks the negative cycle and enables you to make real, positive change in your life.

It's incredible to see the positive changes that clients experience. Because it is a collaborative, supportive approach, the uplifting method of treatment works well for a wide range of psychological issues. More than that, it gives you the tools you need for lasting change outside the therapy room. 



Can Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Help Me?

I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist, fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check. I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapists and fully abide by the codes and conduct of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.


Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a much more collaborative process and it is important to understand that change happens because you want it to and because you are prepared to make the necessary steps to allow it to happen.


The Initial Consultation is designed to assess what you want to achieve, now hypnotherapy can help you and how many sessions you are likely to need.


During subsequent sessions we will talk about the progress you have made and I will be encouraging you to express yourself positively, focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on problems.

I’ll help you to imagine your preferred future, a future where you have a more optimistic perspective on the quality of your life. I’ll then guide you into a relaxed state of hypnosis. Whilst in your trance-like state, your unconscious mind is free to consolidate what we have discussed.
